ACIGS supporting research in PNG

ACIGS are proud to be collaborating with the Papua New Guinea University of Technology in a research project about pavement design and the use of geosynthetics.

ACIGS are proud to be collaborating with the Papua New Guinea University of Technology and three of its civil engineering students and one supervisor on a research based study in evaluation of the conventional pavement design and use of geosynthetics material in the structural design of road pavements. This study will take place in Lae City, Morobe Province, PNG.

ACIGS supported the study at various stages including identification of the project site, assisting with finalising the research objectives, design of geosynthetic material and installation to test it reviewing the recommendation and final presentation.

The ACIGS chapter encompasses the pacific island region and we enjoy being able to assist and lend our expertise to our pacific island neighbours.
